Maria Alexopoulos teaches English and Cultural Studies at the University of British Columbia, Canada, where she researches queer and feminist theory and the politics and representation of feminine adolescence. She is the North American lead of the €11M project, “QueerIT: Queer Theory in Transit,” funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinshchaft (German Research Foundation) and the Polish Narodowe Centrum Nauki (National Science Centre). She is co-editor of Reading Literature and Theory at the Intersections of Queer and Class: Class Notes and Queer-ies (Routledge, 2025).
