Soha Aftab is an international undergraduate student from Kochi, India, entering their fourth year of English and Cultural Studies at UBC Okanagan. They are also the President of the Cultural Studies Course Union and work as a Writing Consultant at the Student Learning Hub. She is also part of various campus associations, such as the Asian Student Association, and the editorial collective of That’s What We Said, an undergraduate gender and women’s studies journal. This summer, she received an International Undergraduate Research Award and will be working in the ReMedia lab to assist in the digitisation of a collection of anarcho-feminist zines from Poland, while undertaking her own research about the value of place-based archiving.
